Helping Skaters was a project focused on bridging the gap of understanding between skateboarders and the public.

The aim of the project was develop a collection of documents that would dissect skateboarding in Leeds on a granular level for a non-skating audience. I created an A3-sized booklet that presented a selection of skate-spots in Leeds. The booklet would present how the space would be interpreted through the eyes of skateboarder; explaining why these spaces are attractive, defining skateboarding terminology, as well as the social considerations of a skateboarder using the space. This was accompanied by a foldout A2 poster labelling each individual part of a skateboard and its uses.
