Appropriate is a typeface I created using generative processes.
This typeface was created as development work for ‘Alreadymades’. It is a combination of 6 typefaces; Bauhaus 93, Citizen OT, Georgia, Gill Sans, Glodok, and Times New Roman. I wrote a program in Processing that creates new letterforms by sampling parts of its constituents. Each letter is constructed from a 3x3 grid, which samples 1 of 6 typefaces for each tile. This means each letter in the type face has 10,077,696 possible permutations.
